Sandy has a long history with the beautiful state of Arizona having lived in the Prescott area since 1987. She has traveled all over the southwest, the Rockies, and the great plains where she has derived her inspiration from the long hills, rich mountain colors, and magnificent skies. Sandy is primarily an oil and watercolor painter with a love of photography as well.
She uses a representational but traditional style with her paintbrushes on landscapes and animal portraits, the most important being the lights, such as backlit, or shadows that create shapes. She has been the guest artist in several galleries in the Prescott area.
