Robert attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA where he was accepted with advanced standing and awarded a scholarship. A selected list of workshops that include Ray Vinella, John Asaro, Wolf Kahn, Wayne Thiebaud, Matt Smith, Jove Wang, Phil Starke, Randall Sexton, Ray Roberts, Bill Anton, and Ned Jacob.
Robert has received numerous awards and has been included in several books and publications. His work is in the permanent collection of The Grand Canyon Association and he is collected worldwide. In addition, he has been an art teacher for a number of years. In May 2021, Robert will be honored to have his third extensive museum show at the Maynard Dixon Legacy Museum. In 2021 Robert was awarded Signature Membership in the Plein Air Painters of America organization.
