Being a very logical person I went to school and got my Bachelors of Science Degree in Mathematics and in Physics. Then I taught math for nine years and decided I liked math more than having the summers off and became a software engineer in the aerospace industry. I developed software for air defense and air traffic control systems. I also got a Master of Science in Computer Engineering.
I occasionally explored art: drawing, painting, porcelain doll making, and ceramics. I found I enjoy working with clay — I never thought I would love to play in the mud! Now, most of my time is spent with clay. The field of ceramics is so broad that I have barely touched the surface. Being a novice is exciting, at times frustrating, but always rewarding.
