Art Clay Silver Ring Project

With Marie Gniazdowski

“WRAP THIS AROUND YOUR FINGER” RING PROJECT

This is a beginner class that you can use to add to your fine silver clay skills or simply
make a one-of-a-kind ring. No prior experience needed!

In this class you will learn how to pre-determine clay shrinkage so that the ring you make shrinks to the appropriate size. You will learn how to texture the clay, roll a clay snake, wrap it around a mandrel and add details. Then it will be torch fired, polished,
and have patina added (if desired).

You will go home with a one-of-a-kind finished piece of jewelry!

In this class you will be provided with 7 grams of Art Clay Silver, handouts, various consumables, and all necessary materials to complete the project. The tools provided during the class project will remain the property of the instructor. Since we will be working small with these snakes and balls, magnification would help (such as over the counter reader glasses). Also, short finger nails will make this project a little easier.

This is approximately a 6 hour class.

Classes are kept to a maximum of 5 students to ensure students of sufficient individual attention.

Instructor will provide all materials for $40.00 and paid directly to her on the morning of class. Please bring lunch, drinks, etc.
