An Artist of Two Continents – Nicolai Fechin (1881-1955)

When Nicolai Fechin moved from Russia to the United States, his art became a testimony to problems and trends characteristic of his time, to the relationship between tradition and innovation, to the contrast between ideological content and the desire for universality. His constant quest for new techniques took him to the summit of artistic mastery.

This lecture will take place at Mountain Artist Guild, Main Level Workshop area from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, there will be a powerpoint slideshow presentation and she will offer students time for questions
